Point Hotel and Suites: Best Hotel in Orlando for Financially Savvy Travelers
Orlando, Florida is known for its theme parks, year-round warm weather, and fun nightlife. Home to over ten theme parks including Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, plan a trip to Orlando and create lifelong memories with your significant other, family members and friends. During our recent Orlando vacation (before the pandemic), my fiancé and I discovered Point Hotel and Suites, a stylish hotel that offers financially savvy travelers plenty of amenities and top-notch service at an affordable price. With over 5,000 reviews on TripAdvisor, our stay was nothing short of amazing. We had such a fantastic stay that I wanted to share highlights with you.

Great Value
The Point Hotel and Suites offers so many amenities you won’t believe how much you get for your money.
Book a room at this hotel and you get breakfast daily, free shuttles to the parks (Disney and Universal), and spacious accommodations. The in-room starter kit includes coffee, laundry detergent and dish washing soap. Parking is free and housekeeping replaces used towels, removes thrash and makes your bed daily. Some rooms even have a private balcony. There’s also a pool and hot tub on-site.
Inside the hotel lobby is a barista that serves Starbucks and other specialty drinks, pastries, and bagels. Alternatively, you can indulge in the American breakfast buffet every morning. The hot breakfast includes scrambled eggs, oatmeal, sausage, fresh fruits, pancakes and more. Breakfast is served daily from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Maintain your healthy lifestyle and burn it all off by hitting the gym. Although small, you’ll have access to treadmills, an elliptical, and a few other exercise machines.
Poolside, Point Hotel offers American cuisine and cocktails at their outdoor Cabana Bar & Grill daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. I highly recommend the fish tacos. They were so yummy that we ordered them almost every night! If you are interested in themed fun, check out their weekly drink specials offered on the weekdays.

Helpful Tip: Before you book, check the hotel website. Point Hotel often offers exclusive discounts when you book directly from their website. This includes romance packages for couples (think rose petals on your bed and chocolate-covered fruits), and extended discounts to special groups like AAA (American Automobile Association) and AARP (American Association of Retired Persons) travelers.
While writing this, they have a promotion where if you book directly with them, you’ll receive 20% off the standard rate. When booking, we took advantage of this offer and it saved us a lot of money.
Free Transportation to Theme Parks

When you stay at Point Hotel and Suites you don’t have to worry about transportation to the parks. They provide a free shuttle bus to several nearby parks including Sea World, Universal, Epcot, and Magic Kingdom. The shuttle requires reservations at least 24 hours in advance, but it gets you to the parks early and picks you up at the end of the day.

The schedule is convenient and there are clearly marked pick up and drop off spots. If you decide to take the shuttle you’ll save money on parking, taxis, tipping, and car rentals. We used the shuttle to go to Magic Kingdom and it took us an hour door-to-door.
However, if you don’t want to take the shuttle, no worries. The hotel is a 6-minute drive to Universal Studios, which is a short and inexpensive Uber ride away. Disney parks are a bit further but not too far.
Spacious Accommodations
Lastly, Point Hotel and Suites offers lots of room options. While we stayed in an executive studio, the one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites can easily accommodate families up to eight people.

Our executive studio room was larger than the average Orlando hotel suite. We had enough room to relax and put our feet up on the couch. These rooms have kitchenettes, a spacious bathroom, flat-screen TV, and other appliances to make your stay comfortable. You can fit up to four guests in a studio and there are two closets just in case you need the extra room to store your belongings.
The one and two-bedroom suites provide even more space. These include a kitchen, a separate living room, bedroom areas, and private balconies. Most bedrooms have a king-sized bed and a queen sleeper sofa. The deluxe two-bedroom suite has three king-sized beds.
Now that you know where to stay in Orlando, go ahead and book your vacation. Whether you are traveling with your partner or the entire family, we had a wonderful stay at Point Hotel & Suites in Orlando and I know you will too!

You make a great point about how executive studios are generally larger. I need to get a suite for my vacation. I’ll have to get something with a king-size bed.
