Pet Friendly Panama City Beach Hotels & Things To Do With Your Pooch

Pet-friendly hotels in Panama City Florida

Hey, financially savvy travelers! I’m back with new travel content, and this time I’ve partnered with Hotels.com. Usually, when my husband and I travel, we leave Jada behind. While it’s been more manageable this way, we typically find ourselves missing our 5-year old pitbull during each trip. Tired of dropping Jada off at grandma’s and seeing her big brown eyes looking out the window as we say goodbye, we’ve decided that we would start bringing her along when we travel. If you also have a fur baby, perhaps you can relate. Well, to help you save time planning your trip to Panama City Beach, I’ve compiled a list of pet friendly Panama City Beach hotels as well as things to do with your four-legged family members. Stay in popular Panama City Beach neighborhoods like Silver Sands Beach, Port Lagoon and Biltmore Beach

Pet Friendly Panama City Beach

Is Panama City Beach a pet friendly destination?

Yes, Panama City Beach is dog friendly. With miles of beaches and access to acres of trails and parks, there are plenty of things to do in Panama City Beach with pets. Here are four outdoor activities you can enjoy.

Dog Beach at Pier Park

Across from Pier Park, bring your pup to Dog Beach at Pier Park (16201 Front Beach Road). Here your pooch can socialize with other dogs, swim, and even surf. Beach access points 56, 57, and 58 (there is nearly 100 total) are pet friendly but make sure your dog is kept on a leash. While you should always bring your own, bags and trash bins are accessible. There are also hoses to rinse off after a fun day at the beach.

Russell-Fields Pier

Sitting 1,500 feet out into the Gulf of Mexico, walk the pier, take in the views by sitting on a bench, or bring (rent) your fishing equipment. Mackerels, blueliners, and flounders are popular here. Sunsets are also breathtaking.

Conservation Park

Spanning 3,000 acres, Conservation Park features twelve wilderness trails, eight boardwalks, wetlands, and pine forests. Nature trails range from 0.6 miles to 11 miles. Since each trail is a different length, you can find one perfect for you and your fur baby. Hike, bring your bike, camera, or binoculars for wildlife watching. Dogs are welcome on a leash, but no more than two dogs per person are allowed.

City Parks

Several leash-free dog parks in the area include Frank Brown Park, Al Hems Dog Park, and Aaron Bessant Park. Roam-free, meet new friends and explore.

While planning a memorable vacation with your pup can be challenging, I hope you jotted down several activities you can add to your family vacation or beach getaway. Don’t miss the chance to visit this charming beach town in Florida with crystal white beaches, emerald green, and turquoise waters.
