Or head to Friendship Fountain Park and the newly rebuilt Southbank Riverwalk. From 5 to 10 p.m. enjoy an evening of free concerts, entertainment, and fireworks. Don’t forget to bring a chair and arrive early for a good spot.
If there’s one thing that you must do while in Jacksonville for the Fourth of July, watch the fireworks displays at the Jacksonville Beach Pier. Presented by the City of Jacksonville Beach, this quintessential Fourth of July event captures the city’s fun and eclectic energy. It’s an extravaganza that’s perfect for all ages.
Aside from the exciting events going on in the heart of downtown, there are also a couple of events near EverBank Field. Visit the Jacksonville Zoo and Garden, which offers two-for-one general admission during the Fourth of July holiday, which is perfect for families and couples.
Cool animal exhibits include Stingray Bay and Giraffe Overlook. At the Giraffe Overlook, take a stroll through the 2.5-acre African Savanna replica and feed them on the Overlook. At the Stingray Bay, interact with all sorts of stingrays and an Atlantic guitarfish.
