What To Bring To Disney World With a Toddler?
Are you wondering what to pack for Disney World? Use this Disney packing list for toddlers to simplify the packing process. We hope it helps you save time and money so you’re not paying exorbitant prices last-minute for items you may have forgotten to bring. We’ve got you covered for a magical family vacation.

Sun Protection Essentials
Baby Sunscreen (Liquid): The Florida sun can be extreme, especially in Epcot and Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland, where you’ll spend much of your day outdoors. So, protecting your toddler’s delicate skin is crucial. Opt for a baby-friendly sunscreen with a high SPF, ideally one that is water-resistant and designed for sensitive skin.
Sunscreen Stick: Sunscreen sticks are a must for Disney with toddlers. They’re mess-free, easy to apply on the go, and perfect for quick touch-ups on little faces, ears, and necks. Don’t forget to reapply throughout the day to keep your toddler protected from the Florida sun.
Hats and Sunglasses: A wide-brimmed hat with your toddler’s favorite Disney character and sunglasses are must-haves for shielding your baby from the sun. These two essentials will provide additional protection and help keep your child comfortable in the heat while waiting for parades or exploring Disney parks.
Neck fans: Long wait times can make finding shade or air conditioning difficult. Keep your toddler cool with a steady breeze from a compact portable fan worn around the neck.
Cooling towels: A literal lifesaver during hot park days, cooling towels help keep toddlers (and adults!!!) comfortable while waiting in line or strolling on Main Street. Simply wet the towel, wring, and snap to activate the cooling effects – no refrigeration needed. We love that these stay cool all day, during parades, character meet-and-greets, and naps. Add a couple to your Disney day bag — you’ll thank yourself later.
Swim Gear and Water Fun
Swimsuits: Whether you’re planning to splash around at Typhoon Lagoon or enjoy pool time at your Disney Resort (ours is Coronado Springs), packing at least two swimsuits for your toddler is essential. The themed water parks can be hectic, so having a spare ensures you’re prepared even if one suit is wet or dirty.
Swimming Diapers: If your toddler isn’t potty trained, swimming diapers are necessary for pool time. Pack enough for your trip, as these can be hard to find on-site. This is especially important if you visit areas like Ketchakiddee Creek at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, designed for younger kids.
Check out these reusable swimming diapers you can toss in the wash after use.
Water Shoes: Protect those tiny feet with water shoes. They’re great for the pool and the splash pads in the parks. Water shoes prevent slips and protect from hot pavement.
Stroller Essentials
Should you bring a stroller with you to Disney?
Yes! A stroller is a Disney must-have. Spending a day at the parks, you can easily walk 20,000 to 30,000 steps. Your toddler will appreciate a place to rest and be shaded by the sun.
Your baby’s stroller is a place of safety and comfort. Bringing the items mentioned in this section, you’ll have everything you need for a comfortable and stress-free Disney vacation.
We’ve taken our Graco Ready2Jet Compact Stroller is Disney two times already with no issues!
While you can rent strollers (single or double) at Disney, they are barebones and uncomfortable. Also, the rental lines are typically long especially in the mornings, and of course this would be an additional expense.

Stroller Bag for Airplane: If you’re flying, a stroller bag is essential to protect your stroller during travel from dirt and unnecessary dings. Many bags are lightweight and durable, ensuring your stroller arrives at Disney in perfect condition. This will be particularly useful if you’re navigating through Orlando International Airport.
Stroller Fan: A sturdy, rechargeable stroller fan is a must for navigating the parks with a toddler. Fans keep your child cool and comfortable during the warmer parts of the day. This will be particularly useful while waiting in long lines and strolling through parks, providing a welcome relief from the heat.
Stroller Rain Cover: Florida’s weather can be unpredictable, so a stroller rain cover is a smart addition to your Disney packing list. It’s a lifesaver, keeping your toddler dry during sudden showers and protecting your stroller from the rain. With this, you can be prepared for any weather condition during your Disney trip.
Hooks for Stroller: Stroller hooks help hang bags, water bottles, or even souvenirs. They help keep your hands free and make it easier to manage all your belongings while on the move, especially in crowded areas.
Tray for Stroller: A stroller tray can be a lifesaver for snacks, drinks, and even small toys. It gives your toddler a place to enjoy their snacks without making a mess and always keeps everything within easy reach.
Small Cooler: Keep snacks and drinks cool and prevent them from spoiling with a small cooler that fits within a stroller. Also, pack reusable ice packs.
Comfort and Clothing
Comfortable Sneakers: Your toddler will be walking (or riding in the stroller), so comfortable sneakers are a must. Choose a pair already broken in to avoid discomfort during your trip, particularly when exploring or running around play areas. Don’t forget to pack socks.
Disney T-Shirts: Packing a few Disney-themed T-shirts or full-blown outfits is a fun way to get your toddler into the Disney spirit. Plus, they make for adorable photos with their favorite characters, whether meeting Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater or posing with Buzz Lightyear at Tomorrowland. ‘
Moleskin Tape Stickers: Perfect for toddlers and adults, moleskin can prevent or cushion blisters, especially if shoes are new or haven’t been broken in. Since Disney trips involve long days of walking, these stickers are a worthy investment for reducing friction.

Poncho: A lightweight rain poncho is essential for those sudden Florida downpours. It’s better than an umbrella as it keeps your little one dry while leaving your hands free.
Extra Layers: Even in warm climates, evenings and early mornings can be cool. Pack a light jacket or sweater for your toddler to stay warm.
Health and Safety Items
First Aid Kit: A small first aid kit with band-aids, antiseptic, and other necessary supplies can come in handy for minor scrapes or blisters. Disney parks have First Aid and Baby Centers, but keeping a kit on hand allows you to quickly address any issues if necessary.
Medications: Don’t forget to pack any necessary medications, including anti-nausea remedies and baby Tylenol. Having these on hand can prevent a minor issue from becoming a major problem during your trip, especially if your toddler experiences motion sickness on rides.
AirTags: Toddlers often have similar looking strollers, and believe it or not, mistakenly taking someone else’s stroller is common. Putting an AirTag discreetly in your stroller (or anything for that matter) gives you that peace of mind so you can find it quickly if it’s misplaced.
Reusable Water Bottles: Staying hydrated is crucial in the heat. Pack a reusable water bottle for your toddler and refill it throughout the day using the water fountains located throughout the parks.
Entertainment and Electronics

Toys and Blankets: Providing comfort and familiarity, bring toys and blankets your children love but you wouldn’t mind getting dirty or lost. Set aside funds in your Disney travel budget to buy new toys on vacation, like a bubble blower or plush toys.
Coloring Books and Crayons: Keep your toddler entertained at restaurants and during the flight with a coloring book and a pack of crayons, preferably jumbo crayons, which are harder to break and easier to hold.
iPad and Headphones:
An iPad loaded with your toddler’s favorite shows or games can come in handy during long waits, flights, or even downtime at the hotel. Don’t forget headphones to keep the noise level down and make the experience more enjoyable. You definitely don’t want to be the parent with an overly loud Bluey episode playing in the background.

Noise Canceling Headphones: While the fireworks at Magic Kingdom, the light show at Epcot, and Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios are spectacular, they can be too loud for babies. Protect their delicate ears and avoid startling or frightening them with a light and durable pair of noise-canceling headphones for babies.
Electronics Charger: With all the photos, videos, and electronic devices used, having a reliable charger is essential. Consider bringing a portable charger as well, so you can keep your devices powered up on the go, especially while capturing memories of your little ones. If you’re based outside the U.S., don’t forget to bring a universal travel adapter.
Toiletries and Hygiene
Changing pad: You’ll go to the bathroom to change your baby throughout the day. To protect their skin from germs, lay them on a reusable changing pad.
Diapers: A dry baby is a comfortable and happy one. Pack diapers and diaper creams to prevent rashes.
Lotion: The combination of sun and water activities can dry out your toddler’s skin. Pack a gentle hydrating lotion to keep their skin soft and moisturized.
Hand Sanitizer: It is very important to keep germs at bay. A travel-sized hand sanitizer comes in handy before meals or after rides.
Baby Wipes: Water wipes are a multi-purpose essential. Use them for routine diaper changes, pack water wipes for spills, and quickly clean up their hands and surfaces.
Travel-sized Dish Soap and Sponge: Disney resorts don’t provide dish soap and sponges, so don’t forget to pack yours so you can wash bottles, sippy cups, and snack containers.
Food & Drinks
Toddlers can be picky eaters. Pack a variety of their favorite snacks and drinks to keep them happy and hydrated. Our favorite snacks include Cheerios, tangerines, apples, crackers, string cheese, fruit snacks, and yogurt.
Bottles and Sippy Cups: Bottles and sippy cups provide a comfortable way to stay hydrated throughout the day and prevent spills and messes.
Ziplock Bags: Store sandwiches and snacks like sliced apples, nuts, crackers and popcorn in easily sealed ziplock bags.
Memory Maker
Meeting characters is one of our favorite Disney activities with a toddler.
Each park offers opportunities to meet Mickey and Minnie, a variety of princesses, and other beloved Disney characters.

Autograph Book: Capture signatures of all the characters you meet all in one place.
We recommend getting an autograph book with a pen (and a built-in photo album), so you can print your favorite family photos.
Some of our favorite autograph books include:
- Disney Princess Autograph Book with Pen
- Disney Mickey Autograph Book with Pen
- Mickey Mouse Spiral Autograph Books (Set of 2)

Children under three years old receive free admission to the Disney World theme parks. Take advantage of the savings while you can!
Everything you need for your Disney trip can be found in the Disney World app. From park maps to ride wait times, dining reservations, room key access to your Disney resort, and more. Download the app and familiarize yourself with where everything is before your trip.
As you can see there’s a lot to pack for your baby, so we recommend bringing their own suitcase, at least a carry-on size roller suitcase and backpack.
Stretchable suitcase straps are a must-have for families juggling multiple bags. Without them bags slide off, topple over, and you end up stopping every few steps to readjust.
Get these suitcase straps which securely hold your luggage together in one stack, making it much easier to navigate hotels and airports.
Leave an extra pair of clothes in your diaper bag at all times. In case of a blowout or if your child gets wet or rained on, you’ll have an extra pair of clothes they can easily change into without returning to your hotel room.
With park hopper, take breaks from the parks as needed. Our family typically plans to spend two consecutive days at the parks and then take a day off. This allows us to sleep in, enjoy downtime at the hotel, and spend time by the pool.
If you can, bring the grandparents along – multigenerational Disney World vacations are so much fun! Having an extra set of eyes and hands to help can come in handy. Also, they’ll cherish all the memories you make together.
