Miami Beach
Connected to mainland Miami via bridges, Miami Beach is another barrier island East of Miami Springs between the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay. Studded with oceanfront resorts, restaurants, bars and cafes, Miami Beach is a lively beach resort with three main neighborhoods North Beach, Mid Beach and South Beach.
North Beach is the northernmost neighborhood known for having laid-back beach vibes conducive to families while South Beach has some of the best nightclubs in the city.
At North Beach head over to Haulover Beach Park a 1.4-mile beach park ideal for surfing. On a windy day fly a kite and don’t forget to bring your furry friend. Haulover Beach Park has a dog park and designated beach access for dogs during the day. Also, one-third of the beach is clothing optional so there’s something for everyone here.
